Reuben Montgomery

New Zealand,  Auckland Media Design School,  3D Animation and Visual Effects,  November 25, 2014
As a Compositor currently pathing the way for a bright future, Reuben Montgomery has been described as "...the Will Smith of VFX Compositors; handsome, cool and composed but knows how to kick arse."

Most recently, Reuben graduated from the Media Design School of Auckland, where he obtained outstanding results and was part of many successful productions such as The Hunting Party, Shelved Stunts and Fawn.

Reuben has been voted 'Best VFX Artist' for five consecutive years by his mother and has also had his work featured on his grandmothers fridge for more than 20 consecutive years. He was voted 'most likely to change the world as a Compositor' by some guy he met at the shops recently.

When he’s not answering the question “why?” to the crash report for the millionth time, you will find him either skiing in the Swiss alps, bike-riding the length of New Zealand or hiking through the Himalayas to the base camp of Mount Everest. You know... the usual stuff. His interests include semi-dangerous sports, travelling, quoting Shrek (but not the sequels) and winning the CG Student of the Year Award.

His latest short film "Leshy" is due to hit screen shortly after he finishes it, which should be soon. Maybe. Like, a few weeks. Give or take.

Take a sec to throw a vote his way and look at all the hard work below and long hours he has put into it.
