I am a passionate Visual Effects Technical Artist. My current speciality lies working with Nuke and covering strong and every aspect of Node Based compositing. I always try to push my limits and teach myself new techniques other than our university course and that is why I feel my skillset is much different as compared to my classmates studying same course. My skills are not limited to software capabilities rather I plan and research for visual effects shot and try to find new ways to achieve something amazing. I do not hesitate to even take out camera myself and shoot the sequence in most effective way. Once I am working with the software I try to find best possible way of handling that shot with the tools and techniques available in the software or even think to create some tools that might help. Being from a technical background and then combining it with artistic skills, I have developed special liking for technicality involved in Nuke. I readily use python, windows command promt in my workflow as I am fully aware of its advantage in compositing pipeline. Also, to strengthen my computer science and programming knowledge, I have utilized MIT OPENCOURSEWARE for past few months and am nearing completion to one semester of undergraduate computer science and programming course. FX simulations also amaze and attract me a lot, so I keep on developing my Houdini knowledge alongside. Other than these two intensely used softwares I have also used adobe After effects, Photoshop, premiere pro and PF Track throughout the duration of my course and my skills in these softwares are none the less. Time management has not been an issue for me. I have always submitted my projects by the deadline. In coming years I look forward to transform myself into a sought after Technical Director in Visual effects industry along with having great artistic skills acquired from my design oriented university course.

This was my minor project for year 3. By this time I became intermediate user of Nuke. My vfx technical knowledge and skills developed by great amounts. The video was shot on Sony Nex700fs. I really like this camera because of the great quality of image it produces. Compositing was done in Nukex, Fx development and rendering was done in Houdini. This is the first project in which I used Houdini. The idea to use Houdini was to introduce myself with the work of FX TD in industry. For this particular project I had to do research over rocket swarms, jetpack fx etc. We also used Arnold renderer for the first time in this project. The renders were really amazing and far better than traditional maya renderer Mental ray. Few key techniques that were used in Nuke while compositing were relighting, expressions etc.
