Nischal Pokhrel

New Zealand,  Auckland Auckland University of Technology,  Digital Design,  December 27, 2014
I am currently a student at AUT in New Zealand majoring in Digital Design. Ever since I can remember I have been glued to the computer screen. I LOVE art and creating digital work.

Last year I was involved in a project that I wanted to get out of my comfort zone in. I wanted to create a short trailer/teaser for a fictional show called "Kern Island". I wanted to explore lots of different aspects of VFX such as compositing, green screen keying, destruction and match-moving.

These were all new to me and daunting at first. However I stuck with it and did the best I could. In the end I achieved everything I wanted to and looking back, it was a great experience to have through, especially the mistakes and obstacles that were involved.
It was an excellent learning experience for me.

At the end of the year I also did some side projects (that are included within the showreel) to test the skills that I learned during my time.
