Martin L'Anton

France,  Paris ESMA Montpellier,  Cinema d'animation/VFX,  September 04, 2014
My name's Martin L'Anton, I'm a recent graduated student from ESMA Montpellier. I've been willing to work in animated movies for a really long time, since I saw Walt Disney's Snow White, and here I am. After some years of study and really hard working and improving myself in everything I could, I'm finally working in Paris, as a CG generalist. Indeed, I jsut can't really choose one thing on another because I love them all. That's why I constantly working on myself and trying to improve my skills. As a generalist, I'm mainly skilled (for now) in modelling, rigging, texturing, sculpting, shading, lighting, compositing, and scripting (Maya/Python), but I'm also trying to improve my skills in drawing/concept design. There're way too much things to learn, but that's the good part of our job isn't it? oh wait!! no, the better part stay working in team!! and that's why I'm always eager to help and work with other people, but above all, learn with and from them!!!

But now that I have a job, I just can't stop learning, so I'm going to focus next on characters, and especially character rigging, since I think that anatomy is a really great challenge, and a really nice thing to learn, and more, making move the characters give them life! But, eh, how do you want them to move without a setup?? :)

0:05 : This is a shot of my graduation movie, which I realised with the 5 other people of my graduation team. In that shot I realised a small part of the set textures, all the lighting/rendering/compositing and I'm also responsible for the cloth fixing and the facial rigging of the character.
0:11 : Even though this one is still in WIP, in that project I'm responsible for all aspects : modelling, sculpting, blendshapes, setup, texturing, shading, lighting, compositing.
