Lauren Colclough

UK,  Stoke On Trent Staffordshire University ,  VFX: Visual Effects and Concept Design ,  July 10, 2015
My name is Lauren Colclough and I will be graduating from Staffordshire University in July with a degree in VFX: Visual Effects and Concept Design. My main interest is in Architectural Visualisation and I would like to work in this industry after graduation, however, the work I have completed is applicable to a games industry as well as an Environment artist or an asset modeler.

I believe that CryEngine is an undervalued tool for Architectural Visualisation and so I decided to use it to show that it can be successfully used for this purpose. All of my work has been modeled using Autodesk Maya and ZBrush then exported to CryEngine. The first clips are based around a brief of my own design of modelling an industrial loft and making it appealing to a modern audience. The second is of a minimalist bedroom based around nCloth tests I was working on, and the third is of a floating house which is design to be buoyant and rise with the tide.
