Hello everyone, I am Kaitinn Ho.
I really love to create any kind of art and video, and now I am very excited to present you my piece called "Dreamer", my first VFX project. I created this VFX demo reel in six moths while attending the 3D Animation and Visual Effects program at Vancouver Film School, so I hope you like my project. You are welcome to comment and I would be happy to hear any feedback about my work!

I completed all the visuals and footage for this project. Dreamer is composed with 5 shots plus shot breakdown. Below you can find more in depth details about each one of Dreamer's shots:

Shot 01 / 00:00 - 00:10 : I completed this shot all in Nuke. I roto the girl's leg, used 3D lighting and Nuke Camera Track for the letters which I projected on a 3D Card.
I have also Graded all the shot to fit into a night scene.

Shot 02 / 00:10 - 00:18 : I completed this shot in Nuke and Maya. First I built the Geo of the Background in Maya for Camera Projection in Nuke, Roto the horse's leg, created shadow and fog, matched the background with the horse, and added a final Grade.

Shot 03 / 00:18 - 00:28 : I completed this shot in Nuke and PFTrack. First I roto the girl, cleaned all cars in the shot, roto the horse from another footage into this scene and made his shadow on the ground. I also used Object Track in PFTrack for putting a horn on the horse's forehead, then I graded this shot to match a night scene.

Shot 04 / 00:28 - 00:34 : I completed this shot in PFtrack, Maya and Nuke. First I roto and Keyed the horse, then I Object Tracked his head in order to put a horn on it in PFTrack, added a photo as background and matched the camera movement and final graded with a background photo.

Shot 05 / 00:35 - 00:43 : I completed this shot all in Nuke, first I Keyed the green screen footage then added a photo as background. I roto for the light effect, and Graded it to a night scene.

From time 00:44 to the end, I present all the breakdown details for my demo reel, and also a complete breakdown for a compositing of another student's 3D modeling reel (Velda's Vision by Thomas Hernandez).
