Emily Overfelt

United States,  Big Island Savannah College of Art and Design,  Visual Effects,  May 30, 2015
My texturing abilities come from a passion for details and a background in traditional art. As a texture artist I strive to convey a story through these details and to bring believability both to stylized and photorealistic work. In a number of student films, I played the role of Look Development artist, and enjoyed bringing the directors’ image to fruition. The more technical aspects of my work also interest me, and I enjoy the challenge of problem solving through programming. My experience with a variety of software such as Maya, Mari, Photoshop, and Zbrush has increased my ability to quickly learn and adjust to new programs, and I am excited to explore them by applying custom tools and applications. More than anything, I am motivated by working with a team of creative and dedicated people as experienced through the collaborative projects I have worked on while at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
