Ching-Ya Yang

United States,  San Francisco Academy of Art University,  MFA Animation & Visual Effects,  December 20, 2014
I'm a recently graduated texturing and lighting artist from the Academy of Art University. I was an animator for the first year. However, after taking the fundamental texture and lighting class, I found that I'm truly passionate about taking responsible for painting textures, surfacing and lighting, My thesis "Allen-Allen" is an animation short combining 2D and 3D. The animation short has totally 41 shots in 3D and I was in charge of all the texturing, lighting and compositing parts. I'm really thankful that I could have this chance to challenge myself and I' m also very grateful to my main instructor, Derek Flood, for teaching me how to organize the production pipeline and learning everything I need to know about texture, lighting and trouble shooting.
