Chelsea Moore

United States of America,  Hilton Head Island Savannah College of Art and Design,  B.F.A Visual Effects ,  May 30, 2015
HI, I am Chelsea Moore, and I’m a senior Visual Effects student at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I will be graduating in May of 2015. My passion is texturing, which I believe steams from my foundation in traditional art. As a texture artist, I have an eye for detail and believe it is important to create convincing materials and textures in both realistic and stylized work. I highly enjoy working in 3D texture painting packages, especially Mari, that allows me to utilize my skills to create detailed maps. I am also interested in lighting. I enjoy the idea that I can become a storyteller through my art. As a lighter, I am able to effectively create a sense of mood that enhances the narrative aspect of the work. Not only do I have artistry for the aesthetic, but am also very effective at troubleshooting. When encountering a problem, I am able to look for solutions quickly and systematically that will ultimately result in a fix. Through my studies at SCAD I have learned the importance of meeting deadlines, working collaboratively and being dedicated to my work. When I'm not working on new projects I enjoy spending time on the beach with a good read, fishing with my dad, and having movie marathons with friends.
