Described as a chaser of dreams, a testament to iron will, and "pretty good at zbrush", Andrew McCosh is the prolific son of a Welsh lady and a New Zealand man, creating a new breed of visual effects artist.
Andrews days are filled with with sculpting, anatomical studys, and trying to break into the visual effects industry through sheer persistence. He has been responsible for much of the character art on the short film Impasse, as seen in the film of the year category, and has just graduated Media Design School with a Bachelor of Art and Design.
When Andrew is not confined to a dark room, creating fantastical creatures and characters, he likes to spend his time playing guitar, having a beer or three with his buddies, a bit of sport, and exploring the wide world. He is currently experiencing the wonders of France, and attempting to overcome his latest challenge, trying to figure out why a baguette is considered feminine despite it's obvious shape.
His hopes and dreams include, but are not limited to, becoming a character artist in the visual effects industry, seeing the northern lights, finally explaining to my mum what rendering means, and winning the VFX student awards.
Feel free to give me a vote, or even just some kindly feedback! Try to keep the negativity to a minimum.
