Adobe’s Creative Cloud (Adobe CC) suite, first announced in 2011, now continues to be an essential pipeline package across a whole range of creative industries. From burgeoning students to working professionals, the Adobe CC suite fosters creativity, precision, and excellence.
As part of the 2015 CG Student Awards, all of our entrants won a complimentary 3-month trial of the suite. We thought we’d check in with some of our talented bunch of students to see how they were going. Read on below to hear what they had to say…
Which Adobe CC products do you use?
Andrew McCosh won second place in the People’s Choice Award for the CG Student Awards in 2015. He is a graduate from the Media Design School in New Zealand, and completed an internship at Double Negative before now working as a Modeler and Texture Artist at Ghost VFX in Copenhagen, Denmark. On the Adobe CC, he says: ‘All of my projects at some point make use of at least one Adobe product. I've found it to be a critical part of my pipeline and I am constantly impressed by how flexible it can be, from video editing and effects to putting together a still - Adobe are at the top of their game.’
Similarly, Edoardo Siano and Aram Hakze, both 3D Modeler and Texture Artists, credit the versatility of the Adobe CC suite. Edoardo says ‘as a 3D artist, these tools help me visualize and create my ideas and works,’ whilst Aram describes how ‘being able to manipulate an image in an intuitive and versatile package like Photoshop is a breeze. Because of this it has become the number one software for most of my image editing needs. From texture cleanup to compositing an image, Photoshop gives artists the tools necessary that ensure greater creative freedom.’
