Grand Battement is a Motion Capture short film made by seven students studying on the MA Digital Effects course at the National Film and Television School in the UK.
From conception to completion the film was made in just 6 weeks. Students from other courses at the NFTS were kind enough to help out with the Cinematography and Sound. All other roles, including Writing, Directing, Production Design and Producing, were carried out by the seven VFX students.
Grand Battement is the story of a music box and a miniature ballerina and their problematic relationship.
