Winners Announced - 2012 CG Student Awards

The winners for the 2012 CG Student Awards have been announced!

From over 360 entries worldwide, our judging panel have hand picked the winners for the Student of the Year and Studio Internship categories. The voting process involved judges scoring each entry based on criteria including - creative skills, technical skills, presentation, variety of skills, raw talent and future potential. Once again, the results have been extremely close with only a few points separating some winners. In addition to these categories, we are pleased to announce the winners of the People's Choice and School of the Year. 

Congratulations to all winners of the 2012 CG Student Awards. The skills and professionalism displayed in these entries is simply amazing! Everyone should be very proud of their efforts and for showcasing their work to such a wide audience.

Student of the Year

The most important category of the event with the highest level of competition. Winners announced for Student of the Year - Winner, Student of the Year - Runner Up, Student of the Year - Finalists (3rd - 10th) 

Studio Internships

There are nine Studio Internships up for grabs from some of the worlds leading production companies. Internships are offered at BlueBolt, Double Negative, Framestore, Moving Picture Company, Prime Focus, The Mill.

People's Choice

The Peoples Choice Award is voted by the public. The people have spoken.

School of the Year

The School of the Year winner is selected using a weighted points scoring system. Each school receives points based on the number of students that are winners, finalists, and highly commended.

We would like to extend a big congratulations to all students and recent graduates who have entered this years event. The quality of work is not only inspirational, but it's really encouraging to see so much raw talent about to start their careers. Thank you to all our amazing sponsors too.
