Rules

1. ELIGIBILITY

• be able to show proof that you have studied, or are currently studying at a certified university, school, or online training facility between January 2012 and June 2013.
• be a registered member of CGStudentAwards.com
• Correctly complete the submission form located at http://www.cgstudentawards.com/enter
• Upload one (1) single Demo Reel video hosted at Youtube.com or Vimeo.com. A Demo Reel video is defined as any media project that was created by you (the Artist) or group of students while attending an accredited school
• Provide a detailed shot breakdown of your Demo Reel video
• Provide a miumum of one (1) images of your work
• Provide a maximum of five (5) images of your work

• Must be a RESIDENT and or a PERMANENT RESIDENT eligible to work in the World Region you select
• May ONLY select one (1) Studio Internship location
• Must NOT require any immigration VISA's to legally work in the country you select
• Must NOT require sponsorship from a Studio to legally work in the country you select
• Must be able to attend a Studio Internship for a period of up to 3 months in the second half of 2013, or otherwise determined by the Studio

2. JUDGING

• Judging will take place between 20th May 2013 - 2rd June 2013
• All successful entries will be judged based upon criteria that are the sole discretion of CGSA. As a guide, these include: Overall presentation, technical skills, creative skills, industry skills, variety of content, shot breakdown information, and employability.
• CGSA selects a qualified judging panel to determine the winner and finalists in all categories
• The qualifications for serving on the CGSA judging panel are, but are not necessarily limited to: Being an upstanding member of the 3D/VFX industry; Recognized as a leading expert in their field; Must be available for judging for the duration of the awards
• The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

3. IMPORTANT DATES

• The CGSA runs from 7th March 2013 - 3rd June 2013
• All entries must be submitted no later than 13th May 2013
• No late entries will be accepted
• Winners will be announced 3rd June 2013
• Dates mentioned are at 11:59 pm on the date in question
• All dates are based on GMT

4. GUARANTEE OF THE ARTIST

• The Demo Reel video and supporting images were made by the Artist
• The Demo Reel video complies with the Terms and Conditions
• All details submitted by the Artist are true and correct, and the Artist indemnifies from and against any and all claims and demands made against TTT, its assignees or licensees, in relation to the guarantees provided by the Artist in this clause 4

5. GENERAL

• The sponsors of this event may use any submitted artwork and videos for marketing purposes and promotional events, and agree to clearly credit the artist if any such work is used
• TTT accepts no responsibility for entry submissions not received by TTT for any reason.
• TTT will not be liable for and expressly excludes liability to you for any loss, injury or damage which results directly or indirectly from the CGSA, including the breach of any third party intellectual property rights.
• If TTT is unable to provide a winner with a nominated prize, TTT reserve the right to supply an alternative prize of similar monetary value. TTT accepts no responsibility for any variation in the retail value of the prize pool.
• TTT, in their sole discretion, have the right to alter or cancel part or all of the CGSA at any time.

6. SPONSOR PRIZES AND STUDIO INTERNSHIPS

• Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution may be made
• The event Sponsors will send prizes directly to winners in a timely manner at the completion of the event
• Studio Internships will be subject to the studio’s terms and conditions
• Studio Internship details (start date, duration, salary, etc.) to be negotiated between the winner and studio. TTT takes no responsibility once the studio has made contact with the winner
• All prizes are at the discretion of the sponsors and studios and may change at any time without notice

7. EDUCATION CATEGORY PRIZES

• Schools with existing "Conceptshare - Professional Edition Academic Licences" are not eligible to win the prize offered by Conceptshare in the Education Category
• Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution may be made
• All prizes are at the discretion of the sponsors and change at any time without notice
• All schools are eligible to win the Stash Magazine - 12 months Institutional subscription and The Foundry - Educational Bundle.

8. DISQUALIFICATION

• TTT reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry that does not adhere to the spirit of the CGStudentAwards rules. If you do not agree with all of the above terms and conditions, please do not enter the CGStudentAwards
• Any videos deemed to contain content that depicts explicit acts that are overtly violent, sexual, cruel or brutal will be disqualified. Such entries may, at TTT’s sole discretion, be closed at any time during the event
• Employees of event sponsors and TTT are not eligible to enter this event
  

9. NOTIFICATION

• Each Winner will be notified by email at the completion of this event
• Each Winner will be required to provide photocopies of original passport/visa documents to the studio
• The Finalist is responsible for entering his/her correct email address at the time of submission and prizes may be forfeited if the Finalist cannot be contacted or his/her identity cannot be verified

10. WINNER OBLIGATIONS

• All Finalists and Winners agree to complete an interview for TTT at the closure of the Event. This interview will be published on CGStudentAwards.com and may be used for promotional purposes

11. CGSTUDENTAWARDS.COM PRIVACY POLICY

• When you register to CGStudentAwards.com you will be asked to submit your personal information in order for us to create your username and passwords for which you are responsible to keep secure. You may also choose to browse the site without being a registered member, in which case we do not require such information
• As CGStudentAwards.com member you have the option of being on our mailing list. In which case you will receive regular press releases and relevant information pertaining to CGStudentAwards.com awards, competitions, and general updates
